Established in 1982, located in upstate NY, Ohmcraft is the leader in thick film, high voltage, high precision resistor design and manufacturing. Our expertise in high voltage resistors (over 40KV) and high value resistors (over 4 tera-ohms) enables designers to meet and exceed even the most challenging product specifications. Our technology allows our engineers to design resistors that are truly application specific resistors. Our proprietary Micropen® technology produces superior technical performance in surface mount, leaded flat resistors, dividers, and networks. We have the ability to write resistors on irregular shaped objects and substrates. These resistors also provide industry leading performance in high voltage, precision, TCR and TCR tracking, VCR and VCR tracking, low noise, stability, and pulse-withstanding capability.

Micropenning enables us to create this distinctive, serpentine pattern that gives our surface-mount resistors the ability to reach 1T ohm resistance and 3.5KV in operating voltage.

Micropen Serpentine Resistor Technology

Ohmcraft utilizes its proprietary Micropen technology to write resistors using thick film materials including conductive, resistive, and dielectric inks. Micropenning applies a continuous serpentine pattern to the surface material, resulting in precise thickness and ohmic value with the industry’s highest stability.
